About the role:
Our client, a prestigious international law firm, is seeking a skilled Document Specialist to join its Document Processing team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and professional quality of legal documents across the firm's practice areas and offices. You will collaborate closely with solicitors, administrative teams, and translators to uphold the firm's high standards of written communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Proofread legal documents for grammar, punctuation, and firm style
Compare converted documents to originals for accuracy
Perform cross-reference and formatting checks
Use tools like Litera Compare and Track Changes for document comparisons
Support translation and review of administrative materials
Collaborate with legal and support departments to maintain document quality
Qualifications:
3+ years' experience in proofreading or document review, ideally in legal services/law firms
Strong command of English grammar and legal writing conventions is a must
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document comparison tools
Written Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) is a plus
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
Willingness to work overtime when needed
Familiarity with legal terminology and document formats commonly used in law firms
