Our Dietary Aides area compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented individuals who takes pride in supporting the nutritional needs of our residents. They have a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation, can follow specialized diet orders, and are committed to maintaining high-quality meal service in a healthcare setting.

As a valued Dietary Aide, you will work under the supervision of our Dietary Manager and Cook, assisting with essential functions in our nutrition department.

Your responsibilities will include:

Prepare and serve meals

Playing a key role on the tray line and with plating during mealtimes.

Follow all infection control and food safety standards

Delivering meal carts efficiently to resident care areas.

Setting up the dining room to create a welcoming atmosphere before meals.

Assisting with the breakdown and cleanup of the dining room after meals.

Contributing to a clean and organized kitchen by assisting with prep work and post-meal cleanup.

Maintaining a clean workspace by adhering to established cleaning schedules and infection control procedures.

Providing support with other essential kitchen functions as directed by department leadership.

Preparing and delivering nutritious snacks between mealtimes. What You'll Need to Succeed:

Previous food service or healthcare dietary experience (preferred but not mandatory)

Basic meal preparation skills

Ability to stand for long period and life moderate weights

Willingness to work flexible hours including evening, weekends and holidays

Adherence to infection control policies

Reliable transportation to ensure you can get to work consistently.

A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and contribute positively to a team.

The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

The ability to understand and follow written and oral directions accurately.
