About the Role:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care within healthcare and social assistance settings. This position involves assessing patient health, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. The nurse will monitor patient progress, provide education and support to patients and their families, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. The role demands a compassionate approach to patient care, strong clinical skills, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies and changing patient conditions. Ultimately, the LPN/RN contributes to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the overall healthcare experience through dedicated and professional nursing practice.

Minimum Qualifications:

Current and valid LPN or RN license in the state of practice.

Completion of an accredited nursing program (practical nursing diploma or associate/bachelor’s degree in nursing).

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Demonstrated clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in acute care, long-term care, or community health.

Strong knowledge of nursing principles, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare technology.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interactions.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and participation in nursing associations.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document health histories and vital signs accurately.

Administer prescribed medications, injections, and treatments safely and in accordance with established protocols.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.

Monitor patient conditions continuously, recognize changes in health status, and respond promptly to emergencies or complications.

Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-treatment care instructions.

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures as required, and provide support during medical examinations.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with nursing best practices and continuing education.

Skills:

The required clinical skills enable the nurse to perform patient assessments, administer treatments, and respond to emergencies with confidence and precision. Strong communication skills are essential for educating patients and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care.
