DPR Construction is looking for Concrete Carpenters with basic experience performing General Trades in commercial construction.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform general construction labor to include jobsite clean-up and moving of materials by hand.
Operating motorized equipment includes power tools, saws, hammers, nails, and bolts. Work requires alert individuals with good balance and physical strength.
Assist in pouring vertical concrete. Install reshores per instructions.
Ability to quickly learn and assist in; vertical installations and removal, framing and decking operations, pouring of vertical concrete, distinguishing between different types of material and equipment.
Read a tape measure.
Basic experience with commercial concrete carpenter and drywall is a plus.
Working during inclement weather could be exposed to extreme cold and heat, noise and dust from construction operations depending upon project site.
Patching/repairing of concrete carpenter work, concrete restoration/joint treatment experience is also a plus.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all tools and equipment required and has the knowledge to use the equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Climbing, standing, sitting, walking, reaching, bending, balancing, squatting and kneeling for prolonged periods at a time.
Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling 50 pounds of material and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance, if requested.
Working Conditions:
Work occurs primarily in on-site environment and may be indoors or outdoors. May sometimes involve heights, exposure to hot or cold weather, loud noises, dust and fumes.
All PPE (Personnel Protective Equipment) must be worn always (safety vest, protective eyewear, hearing protection, gloves, sleeves as needed, hard hat, face shield and approved footwear including rubber boots).
Preferred Experience
Preference given to candidates with a minimum of 3-4 years of formwork / concrete construction work experience as a Commercial Carpenter at meets or exceeds performance expectations.
Good general knowledge of job site safety is required
