Architectural Site Planner

Job Description

**This position is on-site only; remote work is not available.

We are currently looking to fill a Architectural Site Planner position here at RKAA Architects. You will be tasked with various projects that involve site plan development, entitlements and land use applications to name a few. As a Planner, you will be responsible for engaging with city officials, as necessary, to handle variances, re-zoning cases and anything else that may fall under the entitlements phase of a project.

Responsibilities:

· You will be tasked with creating site plans from aerial images / parcel dimensions

· You will be designing preliminary building elevations for design development drawings

· You will be meeting with city staff and handling all site entitlement work for the project, including but not limited to: pre-application, rezoning applications, use permits, site planning and design review submittals

· You will need to effectively communicate with other team members and our consultants to ensure project completion and accuracy within the various timeframes

Requirements:

· A general knowledge of zoning ordinances, building uses and ADA requirements, since you will be creating site plans and designing buildings during the initial design phase

· A professional demeanor, as you will be interacting with clients on a daily basis

· A high proficiency in AutoCAD and Photoshop, as those are the tools you will be using for designing the site plans and modifying/coloring the building elevations

· A minimum of 1-2 years in the planning and zoning field

· A minimum of 2-3 years of CAD use and knowledge

· Must be able to succeed in a fast-paced office environment, as our project types and clients mandate a very short time frame for production

Signing Bonus:

· ‘$1,000 Signing Bonus’ for new hires upon successful completion of 90 calendar days and a satisfactory performance review by management

Salary:

· Your compensation will be based on your experience
