Job Title: Assistant Robot Operator / Crane Operator

Location: Harrisburg, North Carolina

Shift/Hours: 1st Shift

Status: Hourly

Compensation: $19

Description

The Assistant Robot Operator / Crane Operator is responsible for hanging finished parts on racks to be galvanized and moving them with overhead cranes to the staging area. The assistant operator is also responsible for assisting with robot operation as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Inspect material to ensure quality standards have been met

Hang all finished product on proper racking systems

Move all racks from production area to staging area using overhead crane

Ensure racks are ready for galvanizing process

Assist the Robot operator as needed

Ensure housekeeping is completed for work area

Follow all safety policies and procedures

Quality checks on all materials to ensure they are proper and ready to be galvanized

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years of experience in a production environment

Good time management and proven multi-tasking skills

Ability to be self-sufficient and self-motivated

Demonstrates initiative, sense of urgency and is self-motivated when addressing work tasks

Team oriented

Preferred Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED

Overhead crane experience

Robot experience

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet conditions, extreme heat, fumes and airborne particles, toxic and caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to move throughout the facility including on uneven terrain.Employee will operate equipment such as overhead cranes, robots, and forklift as well as position self to inspect equipment and ascend/descend to view equipment.Duties also require continuously moving items up to 50lbs.
