Production Manager

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all daily shop operations to meet production targets and deadlines.

Create and manage monthly production schedules with proper shift coverage.

Optimize machining processes to boost productivity and minimize downtime.

Maintain and enforce Quality Control (QC) standards; resolve quality issues quickly.

Lead ERP system implementation and identify process improvements to increase efficiency.

Ensure OSHA and ISO compliance, enforce safety protocols, and monitor overtime policy adherence.

Lead, mentor, and develop the team, setting annual objectives and providing regular feedback.

Build strong customer relationships through site visits, feedback, and tailored production solutions.

Qualifications

5+ years as a Production Manager or similar leadership role in a machine shop.

Strong knowledge of CNC machining, milling, turning, and fabrication processes.

ERP system experience and familiarity with OSHA, ISO, and QC standards.

Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Associate or technical degree (Bachelor’s a plus).

Preferred

Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience.

Business development skills and proficiency in CAD/CAM software.

Performance Metrics

On-time delivery of production schedules.

Zero major safety/compliance incidents.
