Practical Nursing Program Anatomy and Physiology

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: •Utilizing the framework provided by the syllabus for the assigned course, as developed within the curriculum plan of the Practical Nursing Program, designs and presents content that fosters student attainment of the listed outcomes.

•Implements evaluation strategies at periodic intervals that identify levels of student progress within the course.

•Analyzes student performance, utilizes data to improve instruction, and provides students with constructive feedback on an ongoing basis.

•Maintains accurate and current records of student progress in assigned areas of instruction.

•Communicates student progress to the Director of Practical Nursing regularly.

•Reviews with the Director of Practical Nursing the content, plan, and outcomes of the course in relation to the program outcomes at the conclusion of the course.

•Designs and implements classroom content as assigned, with Director of Practical Nursing approval.

•Maintains accurate and current records of student progress in assigned areas of classroom teaching.

•Counsels students regarding academic progress; provides remediation as needed.

•Promotes the learning and growth of all students through instructional practices that establish high expectations, create a safe and effective classroom environment, and demonstrate cultural proficiency.

•Establishes and maintains standards of student conduct according to the Practical Nursing Student Handbook to provide an orderly, safe, and productive environment for students in the classroom.

•Observes relevant faculty policies of the Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School District WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position may require long periods of standing and sitting.

The individual may be exposed to ultraviolet lights, as are found in computer monitors and copying equipment.

The individual may be exposed to various hazards in the building.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Hours of work are determined by the hours allotted to the course.
