The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for identifying, contacting, qualifying, and developing relationships with prospective clients of Astute Technology Management's services offering. The BDR will be the initial voice of the company for prospective clients and will be responsible for providing an overview of our solution to expand our clientele.
This role will assist in servicing a variety of clients and working with executives, business owners, managers, end users, and internal staff. You must demonstrate superior communication and organizational skills to respond to diverse and sometimes urgent needs all while exemplifying excellent customer service. Although this position will be selling IT services you are not required to have a high degree of technical (IT) knowledge prior to beginning the role. The BDR position is an outbound sales role within our organization and lays the foundation necessary for sales success.
Responsibilities
Have a thorough understanding of Astute Technology Management's ideal customer profile, messaging, and service offerings.
Have a thorough understanding of the systems and tools necessary to connect with prospective clients.
Research prospective clients in target market segments.
Develop relationships with key contacts at prospective clients.
Track all aspects of the sales process for prospects in a system.
Set introductory meetings for Business Development Managers (BDM) and work to ensure the prospect attends the call.
Consistently meet goals for introductory meetings for Business Development Managers (BDM).
Understand how to create opportunities through different channels of outreach including: cold calling, email, social, in-person events, etc.
Meet or exceed daily, weekly and monthly goals for activities (calls per day, conversations per day, introductory meetings, etc.).
