The Westminster Place Team is seeking a dynamic Diet Aide who will assist the Nutrition Care Manager in ensuring that each Health Center patient receives the correct diet at the specified time. This role is crucial for maintaining food service quality and patient care standards.

Essential Functions:
Patient Care:
Answer incoming phone calls and process calls to extension 4559.
Work on the trayline to ensure accuracy and quality.
Review menus and prepare items for service at assigned stations.
Set up and break down the line properly.
Check trays for accuracy based on diet orders and resident preferences.
Monitor serving temperatures on the line.
Work in the dish machine area and ensure proper operating temperature and sanitizer levels.
Update resident specials and bulk feeding sheets as necessary.
Quality Assurance:
Collaborate closely with the Nutrition Care Manager and Executive Chef/Sous Chef to ensure maximum food quality.
Ensure proper food serving temperatures on the line.
Supervise proper handling and portioning of food.
Monitor appearance and texture of foods served.
Monitor and report any issues with the menu to the supervisor.
Safety and Sanitation:
Apply basic standards of sanitation to meet health regulations.
Implement safety measures to prevent accidents.
Maintain cleanliness of equipment.
Skills/Qualifications:
Ability to read and write English.
Minimum of 2 years of high school.
