SUMMARYAn Automation Maintenance Technician will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment such as PLCs, robot controllers, positioning systems, vision systems, automated devices, part feeders, and a variety of other equipment involved in medical device/pharma production, manage calibrations, and removal and installation of equipment.
This person must be comfortable working in a clean room setting.
Take direct supervision from Facility Manager but work with multiple functions (Quality, Ops, Manufacturing, etc.) to complete work.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES A qualified candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Troubleshoot production issues and repair/replace parts as needed.Perform regular preventative maintenance on new, state of the art production equipment and Facility equipment.Maintain calibration schedules and communicate with vendors.Effectively communicate maintenance schedules with management.Accurately document issues and resolutions in the quality management system (QMS).Ensure all written documentation, including SOPs, protocols, and reports, is clear, accurate, and grammatically correct to meet regulatory and quality municate with 3rd party vendors or contractors.Assist on an as needed basis with building maintenance.Ability to stay organized and multi-task on various projects at one time.Perform a variety of other tasks as requested.EXPECTATIONSWork independently with minimal direct supervision.

Reasonable accommodation will be considered for individuals who are unable to meet the required qualifications.Associate degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, engineering technology with a concentration in Robotics or other.5 - 7 years of experience in a comparable industry/position.Demonstrates strong technical writing skills; proficient in drafting clear, concise, and grammatically correct SOPs and documentation in compliance with GMP standards.Previous experience working in a regulated environment.Basic understanding of root cause analysis techniques.Basic understanding of good manufacturing practices (GMP) per FDA guidelines.Basic knowledge of PLCs.Experience troubleshooting robotics/automation.Strong problem-solving skills.Ability to deal with ambiguity and work independently.
