ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Business Development Manager role is a unique opportunity to lead the strategic growth and success of Back To Business I.T. This role drives new business opportunities, manages prospective client relationships, contributes innovative thought leadership for strategic marketing and branding initiatives and promotes the full suite of BTBIT service offerings to new clients. By working closely as the connector between the technical team and prospective clients, the Business Development Manager will leverage knowledge of prospective client needs and environments with a fluent understanding of BTBIT’s technical offerings to create collaborative, long-term partnerships. The Business Development Manager will represent BTBIT’s interests in the community as a lead brand ambassador, champion and service provider to target markets and clients. SOME RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities:

Prospect and generate new business leads through meetings, networking, social media, industry events and other channels.

Effectively use social media and other channels to conduct research on prospects.

Contact and promptly follow up with prospective clients and leads to build relationships.

Know and effectively communicate the unique value propositions of our services.

Prioritize and cultivate relationships and opportunities in accordance with BTBIT’s target market focus.

Conduct market research to identify potential clients and target verticals for IT support services. Analyze local and expansion markets to identify sales opportunities, prospective companies, and associated buyers.

Identify and develop partnership, referral and teaming opportunities.

Build and maintain a sales pipeline to ensure consistent growth and revenue generation.

Collaborate/Support Client Relationship Specialist:

Facilitate seamless transition of client relationship to Client Relationship Specialist during/post onboarding including knowledge sharing and support/coordination through handoff.

Sales and Strategy Development:

Focused solution selling with a consultative approach creating buy-in for long-term relationships and full package solutions, not individual items or tools or one-off projects.

Collaborate with the technical team to understand prospective client needs and create customized IT solutions; work with prospects to identify challenges and understand their business needs to establish the best solutions that BTBIT can provide.

Develop and execute business development strategies that help BTBIT grow.

Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.

Create, maintain and deliver compelling presentations and proposals including writing RFP responses, PowerPoint presentations, marketing materials, social media posts, and other materials that support business development and sales.

Contribute to new and revamped pricing strategies.

Negotiate pricing and terms to close deals while maintaining profitability.

Market and Competitive Analysis:

Stay informed of industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to identify new business opportunities.

Share insights and feedback to influence service offerings and business strategy.

Collaborate with Internal Teams:

Work closely with the marketing, technical, and service delivery teams to ensure the seamless onboarding and consistent servicing of clients.

Assist with the development of strategic marketing plans, marketing materials, special events and campaigns to support business growth.

Reporting and Forecasting:

Track sales performance, revenue, and key metrics using PipeDrive

Provide regular reports and sales forecasts to management to support strategic decision-making.

Other:

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to pivot and re-prioritize tasks as needed.

Focused commitment to spending time on tasks and initiatives with high level of ROI and strategic value for business development success.

Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Collaborative team player – investment in big picture growth and strategic success of the organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

5-10 years of demonstrable success in professional services sales required.

Excellent communication, time management, relationship building and problem-solving skills required.

Ability to write and compose proposals and marketing materials required.

Candidates must be U.S. Citizens.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field highly desired.

Knowledge of IT and Managed Services Support highly desired.

Past experience with technology sales highly desired.

Compensation / Salary Range: Greentree adheres to federal, state, and local regulations. This is a Full-Time, Salary, Exempt position.

Bonuses: Greentree has an employee referral bonus, as well as employee bonuses based on employee contributions and Greentree’s yearly performance.
