Accounts payable/Accounts receivable Specialist

Our client, a local mid-sized company, has an immediate need for an Accounts Payable/Accounts receivable specialist. The accounts payable/accounts receivable specialist will report directly to the assistant Controller and will be responsible for completing A/P and A/R functions in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Duties include:

Processing of accounts payable invoices.

Sorting and matching invoices to purchase orders.

Confirm proper accounts payable coding.

Preparing and scheduling of approved payments.

Processing weekly check runs.

Research and resolve invoicing errors.

Daily reconciliation of A/P accounts.

Managing of vendor relationships, updating and maintaining vendor files.

Process A/R payments.

Review and post customer payments to the proper accounts.

Review and reconcile customer accounts.

Other duties as assigned.

Candidates for the Accounts Payable/accounts receivable specialist should have 3+ years of full cycle A/P and A/R experience, a strong attention to detail, and the ability work with minimal supervision.
