Do you believe there’s a connection between bacon and data? Do you want to be part of a team whose mission is to turn data into delicious insights?

At Danish Crown, we believe that just as bacon is a key product in our portfolio, data is the essential ingredient that drives our innovation and success, helping us to optimize processes, predict trends, and maintain our leadership in the industry – and we’re now looking for a talented Data Scientist to join our team and help us in this journey ahead of us.

As a Data Scientist at Danish Crown, you will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets to uncover valuable insights, developing predictive models, and working closely with cross-functional teams to drive data-informed decision-making. You will be involved in various projects, such as:

Commodity, livestock, and product forecasting.

Object detection and tracking in real-time video feeds from production sites.

Success starts with a team

You will become part of the Data Science team within the Data, Analytics & AI space in the Global IT department. We work on multiple initiatives for various business units, with tasks around delivering data analysis and insights, modelling of complex data sources, and research and implementation of machine learning and deep learning models for tasks such as time-series forecasting, image recognition, or natural language processing, amongst others.

We are curious about the latest developments in our space, and therefore actively encourage everyone to have an innovative mindset and propose their ideas for further incubation.

Key responsibilities:

You’ll be part of helping Danish Crown become a data-first organization. Your main tasks will include:

Providing actionable insights, identify trends and measure performance by conducting advanced statistical and other analyses.

Developing analytical solutions by creating, testing and implementing complex models and algorithms.

Implementing scalable, sustainable solutions addressing business needs in collaboration with AI/ML and Data Engineers.

Explaining the design, functioning and output of analytical models/solutions to consumers.

Staying up to date with the latest trends and advancements in data science and machine learning.

Who are we looking for?

A passionate and detail-oriented colleague with a knack for uncovering insights from data, thriving in a collaborative environment and always eager to learn and apply new technologies.

With a strong analytical mindset, you enjoy solving complex problems and your excellent communication skills allow you to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role.

Strong programming skills in Python. SQL is a plus.

Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling techniques.

Fluent in English. Understanding of Danish can be a plus.

Familiar with cloud platforms and version control.
