About the role:
As the Analytics Manager, you will be responsible for leveraging large and complex data sets to deliver meaningful insights and build robust and optimised business intelligence solutions for use across the organisation and by our broker network. You will have broad technical skills in developing strategic solutions to support various use cases for analytics, business intelligence, self-service and other data-driven projects.
This is a hybrid role (minimum 2 days in the office per week) that can be done from Melbourne or Brisbane.
Key responsibilities:
Engage with stakeholders at all levels to understand their needs and deliver game-changing insights to elevate the organisation, addressing internal and external influences.
Promote the use of data and insights in decision-making processes by engaging and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure everyone's engaged.
Responsible for the timely delivery of strategic initiatives covering, business intelligence reporting, analytical products, insights and self-service solutions for the corporate business and broker network.
Drive the execution of the data commercialisation strategy working with key partners to unlock value for the business.
Partner with the Analytics Platform and Data manager to establish a delivery framework including, governance standards, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance
Provide thought leadership on industry best practice solution design for developing and deploying relevant business insights and reporting, focusing on key performance drivers and outcome metrics.
Lead and support a team of analysts to deliver commercially driven outcomes in a sustainable way.
Work as part of a cross-functional team to facilitate business outcomes in a fast-changing environment.
Working with the analytics engineers and data engineering teams to ensure optimised pipelines.
Build a strong team capability across data and analytics, ensuring we have solid processes and practices to strengthen our team's credibility.
Leveraging knowledge to identify current and future trends and ensure innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
Establish credible relationships with business stakeholders and key brokers.
To succeed in this role you will bring with you:
5+ years of experience delivering insights and analytics solutions in commercial environments, preferably with exposure to financial services or B2B environments.
Experience in leading teams to drive class-leading business intelligence solutions with commercial outcomes.
Experience in working with cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Tableau Cloud and others
Proven commercial experience in data modelling for BI&A, with experience in deploying data models in production on the cloud.
Advanced working knowledge of visualisation tools, including ThoughtSpot, Tableau or equivalent
Advanced experience with SQL essential; exposure to GCP preferred.
Experience in working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience in financial services vertical markets (not essential)
Tertiary qualified in relevant disciplines (Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance). Prior experience in a commercial/business support or data/insights analyst role coupled with relevant tertiary qualifications.
