Journeyman Electrician - Industrial

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team. This position involves working on high-voltage electrical systems in various industrial and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will perform electrical installations, alterations, repairs, and troubleshooting with minimal supervision and may also lead a crew.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and work with a crew, providing guidance to apprentices and helpers.

Install, modify, and repair electrical systems, conductors, and associated equipment.

Troubleshoot motors, controls, circuits, and other electrical components.

Read and interpret blueprints to ensure efficient project execution.

Perform rigging and set up for electrical operations.

Apply fundamental electrical theory in practical work scenarios.

Demonstrate proficiency in skills required for lower-level electrical roles (E5, E4, E3, E2, E1).

Position Requirements:

Licenses:

Current Journeyman Electrician License - Preferred

Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation (job sites may not be accessible via public transit)

Education:

High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent training

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of electrical experience, with expertise in high-voltage systems

This position requires travel to various project sites, including locations such as New York. Candidates should be adaptable, safety-conscious, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.Company Description
