We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our clinic's administrative team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in managing the billing and reimbursement process, ensuring accuracy in coding, timely submission of claims, and effective resolution of billing discrepancies. This position is essential to maintaining financial health and compliance of our company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Review and accurately re-code medical procedures, diagnoses, and treatments based on healthcare regulations (e.g., ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).

Prepare and submit insurance claims to payers, ensuring compliance with payer-specific requirements and timelines.

Monitor and follow up on unpaid or denied claims to ensure prompt resolution.

Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to address billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

Maintain detailed records of billing activities and ensure patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Stay updated on changes to coding guidelines, insurance policies, and regulatory requirements.

Assist with patient billing inquiries, including setting up payment plans and clarifying invoices.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Medical Biller in a professional or clinical setting.

Comprehensive knowledge of medical billing processes, coding systems, and insurance guidelines.

Proficiency in medical billing software and tools.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and coding.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Familiarity with regulatory compliance, including HIPAA.

Certification in medical billing or coding (e.g., CPC, CMRS) is preferred but not required.Working Conditions

-Primarily seated in a front desk/reception area

-May involve occasional lifting of files or office supplies (up to 15 lbs)
