Location: Remote with possible travel to client sites. Current U.S. Work Eligibility Required

About the Role

USA Firmware is seeking a PLC and HMI Expert to support our clients in the automation industry. This is a contract opportunity designed for an experienced professional with a strong background in programmable logic controllers (PLC) and human-machine interface (HMI) software. You will provide insightful contributions to projects aimed at enhancing industrial automation systems.

What You’ll Do

Design, develop, and implement PLC programming for various automation projects.

Create user-friendly HMI designs and interfaces based on client specifications.

Conduct systems analysis and troubleshooting to enhance the efficiency of existing installations.

Provide expert guidance on PLC and HMI technologies, helping clients optimize their processes.

Collaborate with engineers and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements.

Travel to client sites as needed for installation, support, and training purposes.

RequirementsWhat You Bring

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience in PLC programming and HMI software development.

Strong expertise with leading PLC platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric).

Proficiency in at least one HMI software tool (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition, WinCC).

Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).

Experience with troubleshooting and optimizing PLC and HMI systems.

Ability to write clear and detailed documentation.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with diverse teams.

Permanently authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in SCADA systems integration.

Knowledge of safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO) applicable to industrial automation.
