Pickerington Local School District (PLSD) is seeking interested applicants for a Custodian/Groundskeeper position at Pickerington High School North. This is a combined position consisting of 2 hours per day of custodial work and 6 hours per day of groundskeeping work. This is a Tuesday through Saturday work schedule, 1st shift (6am - 2:30pm) and is a 12 month position, 8-hours per day.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED equivalency

Experience in groundskeeping type work such as grass cutting and shrubbery care

Previous custodial work experience preferred

Experience in layout and lining athletic fields

Experience in the use and repair of mowing equipment

Mechanical/welding experience preferred

Experience in the maintenance of fences, asphalt, concrete, ceilings, playground equipment, athletic equipment, repairing floors, doors and windows

Experience with operating heating and ventilating equipment

Ability to lift, push, pull or carry 80 pounds

Ability to perform manual labor for long periods of time

Ability to assist principal/supervisor in creating a safe, clean, positive and comfortable environment

Ability to follow directions and a strong desire to succeed

Must be respectful and work collaboratively with peers

Ability to maintain and respect confidential information and situations

Ability to work well with students, staff and parents of diverse populations
