The State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS Ohio) is seeking a Custodian 2 (Focus: Exterior) to join the Building Service team.

Compensation:

$17.04 to $19.17/ hr.

Work Schedule:

6:30am through 3:00pm Monday through Friday.

General Summary:

Under the direction of a supervisor, Maintenance and Custodial Services, perform general cleaning and maintenance of State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS Ohio) building exterior and as needed, the building interior, parking facilities and Discovery Park.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Clean sidewalks, ponds and planted areas daily. Maintain and weed outdoor planters and beds as needed between contracted service intervals.

Remove snow and other debris from sidewalks and garage ramps.

Empty garage and Discovery Park trash cans daily.

Vacuum, mop and clean garage elevator lobbies.

Summary of Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions required.

Considerable standing, walking on flat or slippery walking surfaces, bending and lifting 50 pounds or more required. Must be able to work in hot or cold environments and on concrete floors.

Excellent work record of attendance, punctuality and the ability to maintain a flexible work schedule to meet business needs. Occasional evening, weekend and non-regular work hours may be required.
