Job Description Summary: Pinpoint seeks a detail-oriented, professional, experienced, and motivated individual who can be an intricate part of the internal signage and production department.
The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the department, including production scheduling, task delegation, equipment maintenance, supplier relations, and quality control oversight.
This role requires a deep understanding of production workflows, project expectations, and efficient resource allocation to meet deadlines and quality standards.
The Production Manager will plan, assign, delegate, and monitor all production-related tasks while ensuring the readiness of materials and equipment.
Communication with client service teams regarding project status, challenges, and timelines will be critical to project success.
This position also involves researching and testing new materials and improving department efficiencies while following best practices to maintain production standards.
Primary Responsibilities:Manage all aspects of production, including project planning, scheduling, task prioritization, and delegation to production teamsOversee the operation and preventative maintenance of all production equipment, including wide-format digital printers, vinyl plotters, summa flatbed cutters, laminators, and similar machinesMonitor and inspect production processes and finished products to ensure quality control standards, accuracy, and color managementProvide regular status updates to client service teams and management to communicate project progress, foreseen challenges, and timeline changesPre-flight and production tile setup, and ensure all artwork is properly prepared and print-ready before productionResearch and test new materials, substrates, and processes to improve product quality, durability, and cost-efficiencyOversee inventory levels for vinyl, laminates, substrates, supplies, and tools; coordinate timely reordering with suppliers to avoid production delaysBuild and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable sourcing, favorable pricing, and efficient lead timesMentor and train new and current production team members to ensure consistent adherence to production standards and best practicesRemain current on industry trends, products, materials, technology, and production methods to keep the department innovative and efficient Skills and requirements needed to succeed:Minimum 3 years of managing teams and production schedules as it relates to the signage industryMinimum 6 years of print production experience and signage equipment operationProficiency in Illustrator, Corel Draw, and PhotoshopModerate proficiency with Microsoft Office preferredExperience with file management and ripping softwareAbility to provide creative yet practical solutions to problems in the office and on job sitesWillingness to travel for high-level installation projects as needed· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written· Ability to thrive in the fast-paced, dynamic work environment that requires rapid turn-around times and focusAbility to work in high elevated environments efficiently and comfortably for installationsAbility to easily lift 60lbsHas a clean driving record with the capability to drive a company vehicleDetail-oriented, with exceptional organizational and project management skillsMust have a positive and professional attitude with high energy, yet level-headed personality with a “can-do” attitude Who this job is not right for:Someone who does not play well with others.Someone who has a sense of entitlement.Someone who says one thing yet does something else.Someone who focuses more on their job title than the required task at hand.Someone who is always quick to think and say why something cannot be done.
