Simulation Engineer

Job Title: Process Simulation Engineer Location: Corning, NY, 14831 Duration: 12+ Months Contract Travel: May require upto 25% travel with all expenses covered by the client.

Pay rate: $58/hr W2 Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Provide model-based analytical support to solve real problems in productionCollect process inputs and experimental observations to define the problems and deliverablesApply rigorous scientific knowledge on flow, mass/heat transfer, electric and magnetic fields, and chemical reactions to build a detailed technical understanding of key process stepsDetermine the technical approach and select the right modeling tools to solve the complex numerical problemsWork with process engineers for model validation and enhancementCommunicate model learnings and make recommendations to the process teamWrite technical reports and documentation Required Skills:MS or Ph.D in electrical, mechanical, chemical engineering or related engineering disciplinesStrong fundamentals on physics, chemistry, electrical engineering, fluid dynamics, and mass/heat transferExperience with modeling software packages (ANSYS/Fluent, COMSOL and similar) or opensource codesKnowledge of numerical modeling and methodsWork well in a team environmentAble to manage multiple tasks Desired Skills and Experiences:2 years of work experiences in relevant fieldsKnowledge of plasmaKnowledge of statistic mechanicsData analysis and interpretationCode development using Python or MatlabExperience with process and product engineering
