Job Duties:
The Golda Meir Library seek a part-time Communications Manager to develop and implement its communication strategies and plans. The position reports to the Library Director. Application requires submission of a writing portfolio.
Job Responsibilities
Manages the day-to-day communication plans to align with strategic initiatives and meet established objectives
Plans, writes, and edits compelling content for various communication projects and marketing platforms
Coordinates the upkeep of the library’s website, social media, and other digital communication platforms
Plans and directs unit programs and/or projects to ensure deadlines and budgets are met
Identifies, proposes, and implements new or revised unit operational policies and procedures
Develops, implements, and delivers communication and marketing materials through various mediums to designated audiences
Serves as the library’s liaison to Marketing & Communications, Advancement, and other UWM units on communication matters
Assists in event planning

Compensation:
$43,120 - $55,000 (Pro-rated for 0.8 FTE)
* Salary offered will be based on experience.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English or other relevant field
Evidence of excellent written communication skills
Demonstrated job experience with web content management systems
Demonstrated job experience managing social media platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in professional writing, communications, journalism, or marketing
Experience with WordPress
Experience managing professional Facebook and Instagram accounts
Experience with Abode Suite, especially Photoshop, Abode Express, and Illustrator
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English or other relevant field.
