Design Build Project Coordinator

Job Description

Are you the person we need to be a part of our busy Design/Build team? Our company offers permitting, design, and construction, with a specialization in comprehensive Restaurant design and permitting. This is an on-site full time position.

Things to know:

Communication skills are a priority:

Communicating with English as a second language speakers, both clients and coworkers.

Communicating clearly with government officials in the planning offices

Communicating with clients about design and permit requirements

This is an in person, on site and in office position

We are a small company and there will be times when you are the only one working in the office..

At any one time we have multiple projects going on, in all phases of the design and construction process. It will be your job to know the status of all your assigned projects and to assure that they go through the process efficiently.

You will be responsible for uploading and following plans through the permitting process

Preparing applications

Working with clients to gather required items

Preparing responses to correction letters

Work on CAD drafting

You will contribute to design development as part of the Catch design team

You will be responsible for field verification for new projects and ongoing construction.

You will be working with the landlord and subcontractors for scheduling and information

You will verify the construction progress and details as the project continues.

You will purchase materials for the project

Required Skills

You can demonstrate or document the following:

Associates degree or higher

1 year experience project coordination with a construction, architecture or interior design firm

Proficient in Autocad, Sketchup, Adobe pdf, spreadsheets

Can read and discuss construction/design plans

Ability to take site measurements

Has some knowledge of MEPs

Can communicate clearly in writing and verbally

Has own reliable transportation

Bonus:

Knowledgeable in Adobe creative suite

restaurant experience

Can drive a cargo van

Has experience with permitting
