Laser Operator
A well-established manufacturing company in Kenosha, WI is seeking an experienced Laser Operator for 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Amada or similar laser equipment and a strong background in metal fabrication.
Responsibilities of the Laser Operator
Review job/production orders and interpret prints and drawings to determine job requirements
Select and verify materials, processes, and equipment needed for assigned jobs
Set up and adjust fabricating machines, including loading authorized programs
Prepare and clean product surfaces as needed before and after fabrication
Operate machines to fabricate components and structures according to specifications
Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure accurate output
Clean and maintain machines, tools, and the work area on a daily basis
Requirements of the Laser Operator
Basic knowledge of metal fabrication and forming processes
Working experience with equipment such as fiber optic and CO2 lasers, drill/mill, lathe, saw, press brake, and turret machines
Ability to read and interpret job specifications, shop drawings, and blueprints
Strong math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication
Familiarity with structural metals and material properties
Skilled in using and maintaining fabrication tools such as scales, protractors, and radii gauges
2nd shift: 1:30PM - 12:00AM Monday through Thursday
Pay is $25.00 - $28.00 an hour, based on experience
