FLSA: Non-Exempt
Location: On-site 4288 Armstrong Blvd, Batavia, OH 45103
Compensation: $16.00/hour
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM, must be available to work Fridays, if needed.

Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated Ladder Assemblers to join our manufacturing team, reporting to the Production Supervisor, to produce high-quality ladders through hands-on mechanical assembly processes of varying complexities. Responsibilities include interpreting detailed work instructions, precisely fitting components like rungs, rails, and hinges, operating manual and automated assembly tools, conducting quality inspections using measurement tools, and performing preventive maintenance on machines while adhering to OSHA standards and quality policies. Primary Job Responsibilities
Perform mechanical assembly of ladders, including manual and automated processes of varying complexities.
Read and interpret detailed work instructions, assembly sketches, or technical drawings specific to ladder construction.
Assemble ladder components (e.g., rungs, rails, hinges) to meet specifications.
Operate manual assembly tools, holding fixtures, or testing devices designed for ladder assembly.
Accurately count ladder parts and enter data into the ERP system.
Inspect ladder components for conformance using measurement tools or other devices.
Operate and perform preventive maintenance on ladder assembly machines when required.
Ensure all tasks are performed in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to ladder-specific safety protocols.
Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions related to ladder production.
Adhere to OSHA requirements and safety procedures, including safe handling of ladder materials.
Clock in and out of jobs timely and accurately.
Perform required quality checks and complete documentation accurately for ladder assembly processes.
Maintain a clean and organized work area through general housekeeping functions.
Perform other assigned tasks related to ladder production as needed.
Basic Qualifications
Ability to lift at least 40 pounds, including ladder components such as rails and rungs.
High level of dexterity for handling small ladder hardware (e.g., bolts, screws, hinges).
Excellent eye-hand coordination for precise ladder assembly tasks.
Body mobility to maneuver around ladder frames and assembly stations.
Excellent eyesight (with or without corrective lenses) for inspecting ladder components.
Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and report issues.

Education & Experience
Minimum 2 years of related experience or training in mechanical assembly, preferably in ladder or similar product manufacturing, or a combination of both.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
