Job Description
LHH is seeking an experienced Internal Audit professional for a contract opportunity based in Columbus, OH. This role is ideal for a seasoned accounting professional with a strong background in internal auditing and a passion for ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. The role does have potential to become permanent but it is not guaranteed.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct internal audits focused primarily on reconciliations.
Evaluate and test the effectiveness of internal controls, particularly around account reconciliations.
Identify areas of risk and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather audit evidence and communicate findings.
Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management.
Assist in the development and implementation of audit plans and procedures.
Support external audit processes as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
5+ years of accounting experience with a solid understanding of GAAP.
2+ years of internal audit experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience auditing company reconciliations.
CPA, CIA, or other relevant certifications (a plus but not required).
Familiarity with audit software and ERP systems.
Contract Details:
Location: On-site in Columbus, OH (hybrid flexibility of one WFH day a week may be considered).
Duration: At least three months (with potential for extension or conversion to permanent).
Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
Pay Details: $35.00 to $45.00 per hour
