Job Title: Manufacturing Operations Manager

Type of Role: Direct Hire

Shift / Hours: Mon - Thurs 5:30pm - 5:30am (with every other Fridays)

Location: Mississippi

Salary Range: $75K - $80K

Primary Responsibilities

Oversee all daily operations for warehouse, transportation, and/or production activities, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are consistently met or exceeded.

Directly manage, coach, and develop a team of frontline supervisors and employees, fostering a high-performance culture.

Own operational KPIs (productivity, on-time delivery, labor utilization, inventory accuracy) and drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximize efficiency and profitability.

Plan, coordinate, and execute shipping, receiving, inventory control, and production schedules to meet both customer demands and internal goals.

Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company quality assurance standards, taking immediate corrective action when needed.

Assist the SR Operations Manager with daily operations, collaborating cross-functionally with logistics, HR, finance, and customer service to align business objectives.

Lead hiring, training, performance management, and career development of operations staff to build a strong, capable team.

Manage departmental budgets, analyze cost trends, and implement cost-control strategies without compromising service levels.

Utilize ERP, WMS, and reporting tools to track performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement data-driven solutions.

Represent the operations function in leadership meetings and contribute to long-term strategic planning.

Skills and Experience

5+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations management, preferably in warehouse, transportation, or manufacturing environments.

Automotive industry experience strongly preferred (OEM, Tier 1 supplier, parts distribution, or similar).

Proven track record of delivering operational excellence through process improvement and team development.

Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate at all levels.

Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis) and familiarity with ERP/WMS systems.

Financial acumen, including experience managing budgets

Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
