Our firm is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-service focused Legal Assistant to join our legal team. The Legal Assistant will work closely with Attorneys and Paralegals to complete administrative and legal support tasks critical to providing excellent service to our clients.

Position Responsibilities:
Draft basic legal forms, documents and correspondence
Calendar all legal deadlines and reminders
Communicate with clients via phone, email and text to obtain needed information
Contact courts, agencies and other entities to follow up on various legal matters
Copy, scan, file and organize documents both physically and electronically
Open and close client files in our case management system
Complete clerical tasks as assigned such as copying, filing, and mailing documents
Key Performance Indicators:
Bill 30+ hours of client work per week
Calendar 100% of deadlines accurately
Complete 95%+ of assigned tasks by due date
Maintain organized and up-to-date client files

Legal Experience Required
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years administrative support experience in a criminal law firm a plus
Strong ability to communicate effectively across multiple channels including phone, email, text, and in-person interactions with clients and stakeholders
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Proficiency with MS Office and case management programs
Professional communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to handle sensitive client matters with discretion
Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills and commitment to timely client response
Experience managing ongoing client communications and maintaining professional relationships throughout case lifecycles
