Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician at a high growth company in the Decatur, AL area, your responsibility is the maintenance of all plant equipment and facilities and to continue to improve the safety, quality and efficiency of the plant. Our client is searching for an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform preventative, routine and emergency mechanical and/or electrical maintenance to ensure our operations is running efficiently and effectively. This is a Direct Hire position with excellent pay and benefits.

Responsibilities include:

Repairs, installs, modifies and/or relocates new or existing equipment in the plant.

Experience and working knowledge with pneumatics, hydraulics, industrial electrical and welding.

Inspection and maintenance of all plant equipment.

Administers the preventative maintenance program for all plant equipment.

Maintains the building and grounds.

Trains maintenance assistants on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.

Performs all assigned functions within OSHA and ISO compliance.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; climb while working on overhead cranes and conducting building maintenance.

Must have own tools; valid drivers license and able to qualify for a forklift license.

3 - 5 years of experience is preferred.

Must have working experience and knowledge of: fractions, decimals, measuring devices such as micrometers, reading blueprints and wiring schematics.
