Senior Purchasing Manager

We are representing an industry leading FORTUNE 500 manufacturing organization who is actively seeking a senior level Purchasing Manager due to a recently announced promotion. The Senior Purchasing Manager will report directly to the VP/General Manager who is looking to begin the interview process ASAP!

POSITION OVERVIEW

Candidate will report to the company VP/General Manager while managing (4) direct reports

Complete financial/budgetary ownership of department

Provide direction and leadership consistent with company and business plan goals.

Maintain and develop strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors

Manage vendor and supplier selection process based on price, quality, and reliability

Direct and drive the utilization of problem solving methods for related plant and customer issues.

Work closely with plant staff to development "HI-POT " talent

Responsible for improving process efficiency through best practices, SOP's, and lean manufacturing.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree is required for consideration

Candidate should have at least 3-5 years of purchasing leadership experience

Subject matter expertise in Purchasing and Supply Chain systems.
