Coach USA has a new and exciting career opportunity for an experienced diesel mechanic at our Waukesha, WI location.
We are looking for an experienced mechanic to repair and inspect company equipment in a cost effective, safe, and timely manner.
What We Offer:\n\nCompetitive wage based upon experience and certifications.\nMechanic class A: Up to $40.00 per hour\nMechanic class B: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour\nFull-time.\nPaid holidays, vacation and PTO.\nFull benefits package (medical, dental, vision, short term disability, life insurance, 401K).\nTool and boot allowance.\nUniform provided.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nPerform basic, routine, and preventative maintenance bus repairs.\nDiagnose mechanical, electrical, and other breakdowns or failures.\nRepair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipment.\nRemoval, installation, disassembly, and reconditioning of components of diesel engines.\nInterprets diagnostic test results accurately.\nWrites detailed inspection reports and repair plans.\nCollaborates with other diesel mechanics in all operational repairs.\nDemonstrate skills in advanced testing of all vehicle systems.\nParticipate in maintenance training programs required for job and career development.\nCompletes test drives to make sure all repaired vehicles run correctly and safely.\nUses power, machine, and hand tools safely in a maintenance environment.\nFollow all safety rules and regulations in the performance of work assignments.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED preferred.\nBe able to work in all types of weather conditions, including outdoors.\nClass A mechanic -Minimum 5 years’ Commercial experience.\nCharter bus, commercial truck, and diesel repair\nClass B mechanic- Minimum 1-year commercial experience.\nCharter bus, commercial truck, and diesel repair\nCummins, and Detroit engines\nMust pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and criminal background check.\nFamiliarity with safety management.\nPossess your own set of tools to perform maintenance tasks.\nMust have a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), or the ability to obtain one.\nAbility to work weekends and holidays.\nBasic computer skills.\nAbility to communicate effectively in English.\nExperience in the transportation industry.\nExperience in the Motor Coach Industry.\nAssociate degree in diesel technology preferred.\nComputer diagnostic skills a plus, but training is provided.\n\nCoach USA, would love to discuss your qualifications for this position.To learn more about your next big career change!
