Position Objective:

To enhance student achievement by engaging families of students in the educational process through strong relationship building; visiting families in their homes, assisting with family and community engagement events, delivering social and emotional support and instruction to families and students, and supporting the Director of SEL & Student Equity and building administrators.

Terms of Employment:

Work Year: 10 months

Hours Per Day: 8 Start/End Times: 8:00a - 4:30p

Compensation: Specialist Assistant - Type 1 (hourly pay range based on experience: $21.00 - $22.)

Participates in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) pension fund (reciprocal pension with TRS)

Eligible for paid holidays, time off benefits and medical/dental insurance benefits

Must have the ability to travel to/from various locations in the district as needed

Location may change based on the needs of students

Oral and written fluency in English and Spanish preferred
