Job Description

MMI Engineered Solutions, Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Engineer in Warren, MI to support quotation development to include post mold tooling, assembly equipment and fixtures, and quality fixtures and gauges. Recommend and complete purchase and build of secondary tooling, fixtures and/or equipment. Ensure safety and environmental standards are followed. Ensure production readiness and verify capability runs. Develop assembly automation, including robot utilization and integration. Coordinate and support preproduction build events. Lead and support meetings for product development and manufacturing concerns under the direction of management. Develop and maintain process flow. Develop and maintain PFMEAs/RPN reductions. Develop standard work and work instructions while working closely with the engineering manager. Set up and maintain timelines for tracking new equipment. Support programs cradle to grave on manufacturing plant side under direction of management. Support and complete equipment issues with an open issues list. Verify process meets flow charts and process layouts. Complete and verify PM instructions. Lead launch review meetings under the direction of management. Packaging development, testing and approval. Investigate engineering change feasibility. Work closely with other departments to ensure quality on time products Follow ISO 14001 and TS 16949 requirements. Support and maintain preventative maintenance schedules

Responsibilities:

Responsible for establishing the setup and part production processes to ensure maximum efficiency and world class quality beginning at sample assessment.

Responsible for control plans, PFMEA's and work instructions all of which have the potential of impacting product quality.

Responsible for following design standards to ensure quality is integral to all product or mold designs. Responsible for management of all aspects of product development to ensure first article meets/exceeds quality standards and customer approval is achieved under the direction of management. Utilize the following technologies: Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) programming including Keyence VT series, Automation Direct C-more hmi, Interface programming with VB.net; laser sensors including Keyence LR series, Banner Q3 and Q4 series, Fiber Optics FS series; Solidworks; Keyence PLC KV Studio; CLICK Koyo; AutoCAD; Cognex Insight Explorer; Keyence IV Series; Pressure Decay LeakMaster; Cognex DM series; and Keyence SR series.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field or a foreign equivalent, and two (2) years of experience as an Engineer or a related field utilizing the following technologies: Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) programming including Keyence VT series, Automation Direct C-more hmi, Interface programming with VB.net; laser sensors including Keyence LR series, Banner Q3 and Q4 series, Fiber Optics FS series; Solidworks; Keyence PLC KV Studio; CLICK Koyo; AutoCAD; Cognex Insight Explorer; Keyence IV Series; Pressure Decay LeakMaster; Cognex DM series; and Keyence SR series.
