Title: Assembler, Electrical Cabinet Manufacturing, Part-Time

Reports to: Electrical Cabinet Manufacturing Leader

Location: DMG MORI Manufacturing, Davis, CA

Hours: Monday through Friday, Maximum 30 Hours per week

Classification: Non Exempt

Travel: 0%

Employment is conditioned on DMG MORI's ability to obtain and maintain any necessary export licensing

Assemblers are tasked to assemble electrical cabinet sub-assemblies and some main assembly. These assemblies vary in size from small to complex wiring assemblies. Assembly work is complete using hand tools, light power tools, and equipment provided by DMG MORI.

Performing assembling of wire harness, cable assembly and electrical cabinet assembly.

Inspecting finished work to ensure specification have been met.

Detecting and Reporting defective material to the leader/supervisor.

Reporting any discrepancy in assembly process to leader/supervisor.

Logistical duties of transferring finished parts to the next process.

Repairing assemblies or products that fail to meet requirements.

Performing inventory count and maintain accurate inventory.

Ensure the quality and delivery of assembly processes

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry heavy objects, and work in various environmental conditions

Work as a team member, reporting to a Leader on assembly status

Communicate clearly and effectively

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Other duties as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience in wire and harness assembly is a plus, but not required.

Experience in electrical cabinet assembly is a plus, but not required.

Experience in electrical schematic reading is a plus, but not required.

Experience in assembly drawing reading is a plus, but not required.

Responsible for follow work instruction to build wire harness, cable assembly, electrical cabinet per provided specification.

Ability to observe and follow safely guideline per DMG Mori policy.

Fundamental computer operation skills and experience using MS Office programs.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Forklift certification – preferred.

Work Environment:

Manufacturing environment (assembly, machining, quality control facility) at DMG MORI Manufacturing. Exposure to possible hazards may include noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery.

Physical Demands:

Frequent: Standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, and pulling, repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements, lifting or moving up to 50lbs.

Periodic: Operating power equipment, and utilizing a computer.
