Job Description
Utilities One is actively seeking a skilled Auto Mechanic with 2-3 years of hands-on experience working specifically with bucket trucks and heavy equipment such as bores and vac trailers. The ideal candidate is a reliable, motivated individual capable of diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of large machinery used in the utility and drilling industries across Oregon and Washington.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues on heavy-duty vehicles, including bucket trucks, drilling machines, bores, vac trailers, and other specialized utility equipment.
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and brake servicing.
Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems using appropriate diagnostic tools and software.
Conduct field repairs and ensure all vehicles and machinery remain compliant with operational and safety standards.
Document all maintenance activities, parts usage, and repairs accurately and in a timely manner.
Collaborate with team members to prioritize service requests and maintain an efficient repair schedule.
Travel to various job sites across Oregon and Washington to provide on-site support and repairs.
Requirements
Minimum 2-3 years of mechanical experience, specifically with bucket trucks and heavy equipment.
Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the region.
Ability to work independently in outdoor environments and under varying weather conditions.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
