Job Description

FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER III OR IVATLANTA, GEORGIA (SURROUNDING AREA)

Travel Territory: AL, SC, VA, GA, FL

Ready to be treated like the expert you are?

We're hiring experienced Field Service Engineers who don’t need their hands held—just the tools to succeed.

About the Role

This isn’t a training-ground position. This is a role for seasoned engineers who’ve already put in the reps and can walk into a hospital, troubleshoot complex surgical equipment, and walk out with the job done right the first time.

As a Field Service Engineer III/IV at HealthTronics, you’ll operate as a trusted technical partner—someone our clients rely on when lives are on the line. From surgical lasers to lithotripters, you’ll manage service, diagnostics, calibrations, and repairs across multiple sites while enjoying the independence and respect you’ve earned.

This role covers Alabama, South Carolina, Virginia and Florida and requires regular overnight travel. If you enjoy solving problems without being micromanaged—and want to work for a company that truly values its senior engineers—we invite you to apply.

What We’re Looking For

4+ years of field service experience in medical, electromechanical, or biomedical equipment

Mastery of diagnostic protocols, preventive maintenance, and in-field repairs

Experience with lithotripsy, lasers, or other surgical capital equipment is highly preferred

Comfortable interfacing with hospital staff, OR teams, and physicians

Proven ability to manage service regions autonomously

Associate’s degree or higher in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related technical field experience

(Military electronics training also accepted)

Valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to travel up to 2 weeks at a time

What You’ll Be Doing

Serve as the lead technical resource across your region

Perform high-level diagnostics, repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance

Manage service scheduling, equipment documentation, and part inventory with minimal oversight

Provide training or guidance to junior FSEs as needed

Participate in after-hours and emergency on-call rotations (rotational)

Maintain compliance with all credentialing and hospital access requirements

What You’ll Receive

Highly competitive hourly pay + guaranteed 40 hours/week minimum

Company-provided vehicle, iPhone, iPad, tools, and uniforms

Full benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401(k) with company match

Generous PTO: Up to 200 hours/year based on tenure

Independence, support, and a culture of trust in your expertise

A career that matters: You’ll play a direct role in supporting life-saving procedures

This Role Is Right for You If...

You’re tired of being treated like you’re still learning when you’re ready to lead

You thrive on solving complex technical challenges

You want the freedom to manage your day without someone constantly checking in

You take pride in being the person the team calls first when something breaks
