Requirements
What You’ll Do:
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
Implements, maintains and reviews payroll processing to ensure accuracy of payroll transactions, including salaries, bonuses, benefits, garnishments, taxes and other deductions, in a timely manner.
Responsible for benefits administration and open enrollment.
Oversees administration of background checks, drug screenings, and medical certifications.
Partners with management concerning matters of performance and talent management.
Assists with recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment and discrimination training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
Assists with planning and execution of special events such as organization-wide meetings, charity events, employee engagement activities, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
Assists in implementing new hire orientation, onboarding, stay interviews and offboarding.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Oversees employee engagement initiatives.
Handles all matters related to workers compensation, unemployment claims, and leave requests.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation in accordance with legal requirements, best practices, and internal policy.
Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records, and performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
Works closely with outside vendors related to payroll, benefits, insurance brokers, state agencies etc.
Handles certain projects throughout the year, such as calculates and prepares quarterly 401k reporting, participates in 401k audit, BWC Payments, Audits and True-Up Reporting, Distribution of W-2's and other projects as needed.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree
1-3 years of experience in a human resources position
Basic understanding of HR functions and record-keeping requirements
Experience using Paylocity preferred
Experience processing payroll with basic understanding of employee deductions and reimbursements
Experience managing and administering employee benefits
