Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team in Moline, Illinois. This Contract to permanent position offers the opportunity to bridge business needs with technical solutions, ensuring data-driven decision-making through effective storytelling and visualization. As a key liaison between business units and the Analytics Team, you will play a pivotal role in translating requirements into actionable insights that support organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business units to gather and analyze requirements for new data products.

• Develop and implement data visualizations and storytelling techniques to communicate insights effectively.

• Leverage tools like Power BI, R Studio, and Visual Studio for advanced data analysis and reporting.

• Serve as the primary link between business teams and the Analytics Team to ensure data solutions meet organizational needs.

• Utilize Apache Spark and Business Intelligence tools to enhance data processing and reporting capabilities.

• Conduct gap analysis and AB testing to improve data accuracy and relevance.

• Maintain strong working relationships with IT, Security, and other teams to protect the confidentiality and integrity of organizational data.

• Apply Agile Scrum methodologies to manage workflows and deliverables efficiently.

• Create and maintain documentation such as Business Requirement Documents to support project objectives.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and proactively address challenges.• High School Diploma or equivalent; advanced education preferred.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as R or Python.

• Strong expertise in tools like Power BI, R Studio, and Visual Studio.

• Demonstrated ability to create compelling data visualizations and narratives.

• Solid understanding of analytics, business intelligence, and data storytelling.

• Experience with tools such as Apache Spark, Atlassian Jira, and BusinessObjects Technologies.

• Proven ability to work independently, solve problems, and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on building positive relationships across teams.
