This position is responsible for handling administrative, customer service and operational tasks in support of the Condo/Co-op Project Standards department. This role is full-time; non-exempt and has no supervisory responsibilities. This position reports to the Project Standards Manager.
Responsibilities and Duties
Monitor all newly registered condominium and co-operative loans
Issue introductory/welcome emails detailing project review submission processes and documentation requirements
Serve as primary point of contact for clients and internal associates providing daily support ex: status updates, turn times, receipt confirmation etc.
Organize and assign new project review requests, conditions, scenarios and inquiries
Request additional items from Clients, HOAs, Co-op Corporations, Management Companies and Closing Agents
Engage in consistent verbal and written communication with Underwriters, CSRs, AEs and Brokers
Assist clients with system support (i.e. project database etc.)
Sort documentation and setup project folders for the Project Review Specialists
Create entries and assist with project database maintenance
Help with the processing of more complex project reviews
Conduct project status checks through applicable agency and government platforms – i.e. CPM, CPA, HUD and VA Portal
Search insurance ratings through AM Best, S&P, Demotech and Kroll
Obtain FEMA flood certificates
Merge, bundle and/or upload documentation into Plaza’s LOS
Additional duties as needed
Qualifications
Fundamental understanding of condominium and co-operative properties
Proficiency with computer systems including MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Internet browsers
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to efficiently and consistently produce accurate work
Capability of multi-tasking in fast-paced environment with heavy volume of transactions
Proven aptitude to work in both a team and individual environment
Sound judgment skills essential to making quick decisions within written policy and standard operating procedures essential
Flexibility and time management skills
High school diploma or equivalent required; College degree preferred
Knowledge of mortgage banking industry
Must be available to work an 8-hour work day through 5:30pm EST.
