Description
Responsibilities:
Drives company van on organized outings, as needed
Interviews residents upon admission to determine their likes and dislikes
Documents the resident’s participation in activities daily
Plans and maintains an inventory list of activity equipment and supplies
Evaluates the overall effectiveness of the resident’s activity program and, as necessary, modifies the program to meet the resident’s needs and interests
Plans and coordinates the Community newsletter
Coordinates with the resident council to ensure resident input into the activity program
Coordinates resident shopping orders for those unable to shop independently
Engages with residents in a compassionate and impactful manner, cultivating a warm and supportive environment where the values of love, compassion, and dignity are reflected in every interaction
Engage in continuous learning and development opportunities through attendance and participation in educational seminars, staff meetings, and other learning experiences
This position involves driving a van for the seniors in our community to physician appointments, outings, and errands requested by the Independent and Assisted living residents and assisting the Life Enrichment Coordinator in activities as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
High school graduate or GED equivalent
Must hold valid driver’s license
A minimum of 21 years of age preferred with driving record in good standing
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
