Location: South High Street, Columbus, OH

Hours: 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Pya Rate: Starting at $15.00 – $19.00/hour (commensurate with experience and education)About the Role

We're seeking an experienced and dependable cook to prepare nutritious, high-quality meals and snacks for our enrolled children. This is not an entry-level position - prior professional cooking experience or culinary training is preferred.Responsibilities

Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children, including substitute items for those with dietary restrictions.

Distribute meals to classrooms in a timely manner.

Practice safe food handling and storage techniques at all times.

Plan and purchase food and supplies, maintaining all receipts for CCFP (Child Care Food Program) compliance.

Keep daily menu records and assist in recipe/menu development.

Maintain appropriate stock of kitchen supplies.Requirements

Experience: 1–2 years in professional food service (childcare or institutional settings preferred).

Certification: City of Columbus SafeServe.

Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen and collaborate with staff.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Education:

Preferred: Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts or related field.

Minimum: High School Diploma.Physical Requirements

Lift up to 30 lbs.

Stand for extended periods.

Move freely as the position requires.
