This role will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely financial statements, maintaining strong internal controls, and driving process improvements across our finance organization—all while leading and mentoring a team of accounting professionals.

What You’ll Do:

Lead and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for assigned entities, contributing to global consolidations.

Manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements.

Support development, enforcement, and alignment of internal controls, including global frameworks (e.g., SOX).

Prepare and review financial reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders.

Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Coordinate and support annual audits, working with external auditors across multiple jurisdictions.

Assist with complex accounting transactions, including inventory, cost accounting, intercompany activity, and foreign currency transactions.

Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures for US and international operations.

Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff, ensuring workloads are balanced and deadlines are met.

Support ERP system implementations, process automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Stay informed on accounting trends and regulatory changes to maintain compliance.

Collaborate with tax, treasury, and global finance teams to provide accurate financial data.

Prepare presentations and financial analysis for senior leadership and the board.

Serve as a backup to the Controller when needed.

What You Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s preferred.

CPA (or equivalent such as ACCA or Chartered Accountant) preferred.

Public accounting experience strongly preferred.

7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including 3+ years in management.

Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP; familiarity with IFRS and multi-jurisdictional reporting preferred.

Experience with multi-entity consolidations, foreign currency transactions, and intercompany accounting.

Proficiency in ERP systems (JDE preferred) and advanced Excel skills.

Proven success in managing close processes across multiple entities and jurisdictions.

Ability to lead process improvements, system implementations, and change management.

Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex accounting concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

Experience in the medical device or manufacturing industry a plus.

Ability to work effectively under pressure, adapt to changing business needs, and collaborate across cultures and time zones.
