Our client is seeking an Operations Manager to join their growing, non-union, mid-sized manufacturing team.

Job summary: The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily activities and strategic planning for the facility to achieve safety, quality, and manufacturing targets.
Purview includes all functions in operations, maintenance and shipping/receiving.
Responsibilities:Ensuring employee safety is top priority, which includes providing all necessary training and equipment neededDrive positive, focused culture; Lead and engageDeveloping staff and identifying high potential employees for succession planningDeliver on efficiency goals, quality targets, profitability, inventory, revenue, and other KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)Supporting continuous improvement activities throughout the facility Education and Experience:Bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineering or other related fieldMinimum 8 years of manufacturing leadership experience with at least 5 years at the Production Manager level or higher.Experience in a fast-paced Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive supplier manufacturing environment preferredExperience with forging or foundry is preferred Familiarity with Lean, Six-sigma, and/or Theory of Constraints Manufacturing PrinciplesCritical thinker, able to self-manage and be collaborative.Ability to travel on occasion for business meetings.
