(The facility and the team are top notch) Highlights Job Duties and Responsibilities Team Leadership & DevelopmentLeadership, technical training, and mentorship of engineering teamsBuild and maintain a strong engineering culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementManage resource allocation, performance evaluations, and professional development plans Engineering ExecutionOversee project execution from design through production release, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective, and manufacturable solutionsReview and approve engineering drawings, BOMs, schematics, and technical documentationDrive adherence to engineering standards, regulatory codes (e.g., UL), and customer specifications Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Product Management to support product development, improvement, and customizationCollaborate closely with Manufacturing and Operations teams to support smooth handoffs and solve production challengesParticipate in quoting and design reviews for large or complex customer projects Process Improvement & InnovationChampion design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and design-for-cost (DFC) initiativesIdentify and implement engineering process improvements to reduce lead times and improve qualityStay current with industry trends, technologies, and standards Technical Oversight & Risk ManagementServe as an escalation point for complex technical challenges or design decisionsEnsure risk assessments and mitigation plans are in place for high-impact projects Required Skills and Abilities Bachelor’s degree-Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field)7+ years of engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership roleStrong project management skills and experience in a custom or engineered-to-order manufacturing environmentProven ability to lead and develop high-performing engineering teamsProficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and engineering documentation systems Additional Skills and ExperienceExperience with electrical equipment, such as control panels, low and medium voltage equipment, or power distribution equipment.Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor), PLM systems, and Lean manufacturing principlesFamiliarity with UL, NEC, and other relevant codes and standards Annual Salary Rate: $135K to $165K(DOE), 4 weeks PTO to start, (prorated based on when you start) plus outstanding benefits package and other great perks.
