Technical Specialist (Lead)

Minnesota manufacturing firm focused on wood coatings and paints has a need for a Technical Lead.

This position will drive technical excellence and innovation across all US operations.

You will be leading QC initiatives, managing complex formulation projects, and developing our technical team.

This role bridges hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership.

ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor the US technical team across multiple locationsDrive quality control processes and continuous improvement initiativesOversee water-based coating formulation projects and new product developmentEnsure ISO compliance and maintain quality management systemsCollaborate with global technical teams on standardization effortsInterface with key customers on technical requirements and solutionsManage resource allocation across multiple technical projects SkillsBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field10+ years experience in paint/coatings industryProven expertise in water-based formulationsDemonstrated leadership experience in technical operationsStrong understanding of ISO standards and quality systemsExperience managing multiple technical projects simultaneously Must be authorized to work permanently in the US.

Must be in the Minneapolis/St.
