The US Retail Markets (USRM) Data and Analytics Engineering team is actively searching for a highly productive Senior Data Engineer for a distributed, dynamic agile team to serve as a technical expert designing, developing, analyzing & testing innovative data warehouse reporting solutions. This candidate will join an energetic and engaged Business Data Solutions Engineering team focused on delivering exceptional value to our Small Commercial Policy, Pricing and Underwriting business partners. You will work collaboratively in an agile squad designing and building data pipelines & workflows, ingest, curate & provision data in a Cloud-based environment as well as own responsibility of thorough end-to-end testing.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor or Master`s degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience, technical degree preferred. Generally, 5+ years of Data Engineering experience for the Senior level DE (may consider candidates with less experience).

Experience developing back end, data warehouse technology solutions.

Experience integrating multiple transactional systems with Snowflake (or similar) for reporting, analytics, or data warehousing purposes, often using APIs and ETL tools. High volume data experience a plus.

Knowledge of a variety of data platforms including Snowflake (or similar), SQL and JAVA

Experience with AWS (such as S3, Snowflake, Athena), Informatica (IDMC) and strong SQL skillset.

AI experience including Prompt Engineering, CoPilot and ChatGPT

Experience working with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP) and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Test Engineers).

Must be proactive, demonstrate initiative, and be a logical thinker, team oriented with strong collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills required.

Extensive consultative skills, including the ability to understand and apply customer requirements, including drawing out unforeseen implications and making recommendations for design, the ability to define design reasoning, understanding potential impacts of design requirements.

Understanding of insurance industry and products.
