Team and Position Summary
EMF team as a part of the Enterprise IoT Platform area builds reusable and scalable device
connectors that aid in acquiring telemetry from various devices across the fleet of stores,
clubs, and distribution centres that client operates.
Our team is responsible for design, development, and operations of components operating at
petabyte-scale. We focus on near real-time data acquisition and data transformation pipelines
which feed into and enabling multiple end-user applications and machine learning
infrastructure.
Position Requirements
•Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field with 5+ years of
experience in building backend systems and applications using Java 17 or above & the
Spring Framework
•Skilled with developing scalable API driven systems with diverse data models
(XML/JSON) & experienced with Containerization technologies (docker & kubernetes)
•Hands-on with low-level communication protocols (such as Modbus and/or BACNet)
and tools such as Wireshark
•Hands-on with public cloud technologies such as Azure (preferred) or GCP
•Functional knowledge of observability systems and patterns
•Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Position Responsibilities
•You develop scalable, containerized software that meets and exceeds the needs of the
customer and the company.
•You will build, extend, and maintain codebases to address the stakeholder's and
company's requirements.
•You will be responsible for analysing requirements, producing a scalable design,
implementing, and testing programs/products before formal launch to ensure flawless
performance.
•You will be able to troubleshoot problems quickly, efficiently addressing the root cause
in a high-pace, high-impact environment will be a key part of this role.
•You will also be required to seek ways to improve the software and its effectiveness.
•You will be called upon to support the coaching and training of other team members to
ensure all employees are confident in the use of software applications.
•You will collaborate with a geographically distributed team daily.
