Position Summary:
The Primary Care Behavioral Health Provider – Master's Level operates as a behavioral health consultant on the medical team utilizing the Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) model of care. Acting as a generalist, the PCBH Provider sees patients of all ages with wide-ranging medical, behavioral health and behaviorally influenced conditions. As a fully integrated member of the primary care team, the PCBH provider provides episodic behavioral health services and interventions to a high volume of patients.
Program Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments and short-term therapy for clients of all ages and families, creating a welcoming and understanding environment for diverse backgrounds, utilizing interpretation services when indicated.
Prioritize and provide on-demand consultations as well as manage scheduled appointments to individuals, couples, and/or family adhering to the norm of a fast-paced primary care environment
Utilize therapeutic modalities that support wellness, improved quality of life and behavior change such as behavioral and cognitive behavioral modalities, solution focused brief therapy, motivational interviewing, etc.
Consult with medical colleagues in real-time to enhance understanding of the patient, provide decision support for treatment planning and assist in the implementation and monitoring of patient-centered biopsychosocial treatment plans
Close all charts within forty-eight (48) hours of visit - ability to do concurrent/concordant charting/typing; including assessments, progress notes, and billing
Assist in staff and provider training in Primary Care Behavioral Health Model
Participate in behavioral health quality improvement activities
Participate in weekly clinical supervision, and seek peer consultation as needed
Provide clinical supervision of interns and non-licensed clinicians, as appropriate.
Provide risk assessments and develop comprehensive safety plans, supporting the maintenance of stable functioning and empowering clients in their mental health journey
Keeps abreast of all insurance requirements and submits paperwork accordingly.
Continually evaluates service and maintains a productivity level that adequately meets the goals of the department and ensures access to the clients seeking services.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
One of the following combinations of education and employment experience must be met in order to be considered for the position:
Education and Licensure:
• Master’s degree or Social Work, Psychology, or Mental Health Counseling from a Massachusetts accredited, licensure-eligible program required.
• Must be eligible for and actively working towards independent licensure within 6 months of start date.
• Direct clinical work with individuals, children, and families is required.
