Job Description

Recruiting a Controls Engineerfor a niche heavy machinery manufacturer to support the design, implementation and troubleshooting of electrical control systems. This role is hands-on and cross-functional, working closely with engineering, production, and customer service teams to ensure systems are designed for performance, reliability and compliance with technical and safety standards.This role will require use and knowledge of CAD as well as electronics, hydraulics, FEA, and pneumatics.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop electrical and control systems, including wiring diagrams, harnesses (low and high voltage), and related schematics

Use CAD to prepare technical drawings and specifications of electrical systems to ensure that installation and operations conform to all standards.

Collaborate with internal and external dealers, teams, and customers to resolve system-related issues and technical support.

Support manufacturing teams with control system implementation, assembly troubleshooting, and training.

Process and manage engineering change orders and documentation of updates and changes.

Ensure all designs are compliant, meeting all quality, safety and regulatory standards. Maintain documentation for standards related to control systems.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in electrical, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering or related field.

1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in heavy equipment, trucking or automotive systems.

Proficiency with CAD programs

Strong understanding of control systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and power distribution.

Ability to read and create schematics, wiring diagrams, and bill of materials
